It was time to circumnavigate North America solo – starting with LA... (MISS YOU DES, COME BACK SOON!!!) I wanted to mark this point in time with a SBD training session at Hollywood Soo Bahk Do. After what felt like a 3 hour commute (via walking, bus-ing, subway-ing and more walking) from North Hollywood to Sunset Boulevard I finally made it to the Dojang. WOOHOO!!!
Sadly, no training sessions were on but I did get to go inside and take happy snaps. When I saw Kwan Jang Nim on the cover of Black Belt magazine, I was so tempted to do a Peet Cha Gi too ;O) LOL...
Head instructor Christian Naggiar Sa Bom Nim teaches both Soo Bahk Do karate and Gracie Jiu Jitsu (i.e. ground fighting art), thus students can learn both arts :O)
